Cute. Nice use of white space. Like the Bernard is so lively red against all the whites and grays.

get thee behind me, hellcat! you blasphemer! there's no one living in that teapot! it's the teapot itself who talks to boiled egg!

Wow, how cool is this? Love the way the bird is holding the spout with its foot.

Oh, your birds are so sweet Cat I always wish they were real so I could hang with them:)

no one at all?

I think Bernard must learn to be patient.

Poor Bernard!

May you safely navigate through the ghosties, goblins, sprites, trolls, imps, hobgoblins, ghouls, banshees, poltergeists, specters, spirits, witches, and warlocks wandering the earth this night.

I love how the birdy is holding onto the teapot. Made me chuckle.

Another fun illustration. I thought he was checking to see if there was any coffee left.

I can believe a bird brain would think it was a peephole.

Oh tis very lovely.... like the splash of colour on bernard and the line quality is great!

The Italian word for the plural of cup is bicchieri. And I always think of a bird's beak when I hear it. And then there is this wonderful drawing of such a beak on such bicchieri. Perfect!

I wish you would read me the whole story.

Truly beautiful, you are Cat.

Heehee, did you make it through to the other side?

Your illustration is a tweet!

Probably my favorite post of the week! I like that it doesn't follow the traditional Halloween look, and I like that the bird is the only colored part. Good use of non-color! :-)

Beautifully done!

This is hilarious - words and image. It's the look of shock on Bernard's face that cracks me up, like he can't believe there's no one in there! It would be perfectly natural for a bird to enter through there to attain access to such a beautiful nest as this after all, wouldn't it? :D

The party was over
even dormouse was gone
he crawled out of the teapot
and got scratched on the lawn

I didn't see this last week. I heart Bernard!

bernard is adorable! and very smart of him to stack the cups like that so he could reach the peephole.
