Sweet. I don't think that we have Ospreys here. Eagles, Owls and Redtails, but no Ospreys yet.
Dang it, I wanted to be first!!!Are you food? LOL! You crack me up Cat.Maybe one day I'll tell you the story about a great big ol' barn owl that almost killed me. Well, I thought he was going to anyway...
I love the double-take. It's cute as hell.
Delightful bird!I have a similar conversation with Alex sometimes.
Great pic!! Wish I could get some that good!
... so, are you? Food?
But how did his mouth look so small? What a neat picture!
A covetous or a rapacious eye? Definitely some kind of glint goin' on. [Your CAPTCHA reads "gunts". How rude!]
Ooh, how cool is that!
We have a pair of them nesting in a tall snag by the Provo River near our house. Without a much better lens, I couldn't get that good a picture though.I initially thought they were bald eagles (we do have them in the area) but was told by those who know their birds better than I they were ospreys instead -- and looking more closely, that appears to be the case.

LOL, Studio. You crack me up...
Beautiful bird. I'm glad the DDT didn't get them all.
