Oh dear. I see they are like thunder clouds ripping the leaves from both separate trees! Is there no hope? Roots have same grounding and they're facing the sky ... Great colours!

Damn, girl, you get such great concepts going, and best of all they stir up feelings!

Fine fine work.

Love the colors and texture in this! And, p.s., no Henry didn't get paint on him but Daisy did! Ears, tail, you name it . . sigh.

They both see the stars, but not each other.

Very nice, but sad isn't it?

Neat idea here. Lots of interpretations available...I like the fact that they are both looking up.
My glass is usually half full though.
Great colours!

What Lori said! YEP... it seems so quiet and sad though.

Lovely and evocative, Cat - again.

Maybe the grace of trees is they don't harbor illusions about the nature of their separation.

On the other hand, though, there's a lot happening below the surface.

Even if you're only keeping yourself company.

(Wait a minute. Have I linked to this blog yet?? I have to check right after I send this comment.)

Thanks for contributing your impression to the photo of the couple - that was a wonderfully lucid observation. When I read it, I knew : so that's what's happening in the picture!

Love the faces - pic! The question is bigger than the one you posed.

i just luv the oddness to this.. it's peaceful in a way creates a chaotic jumble of thoughts on what it really means..

I am amazed at how you convey so much emotion in these images. I can so clearly see the mood in the general shape of the leaves and branches.

Wow Cat, this is quite something. It strikes many chords with me, some for this marriage but mostly for the past one. It took me a few seconds to see the faces, but then...wow! I believe most differences can be worked out so both can meet in a happy place. Nice job!
