Lazy birds! They could flap their wings and propel the turtles along- or at least lighten their loads- but do they? Nooooooo! (Cute pic, btw!)
The arrogance of some birds! I like your humorous take on the words to the song. And this is such cute illustration. Merry Christmas!
I always imagine doves to be turtles when they crawl about in little herds... Your illustration is pretty.
Those must be doves of noble lineage. Only the hoi-poloi actually use their wings.
YAY! I've been waiting for the second day of christmas to roll along. No wonder it took so long! :)
Fabulous darling:)
i always wondered about those legendary turtledoves. Well now i know, you have explained it perfectly... i love it!
When I was a kid, and heard the song, I always thought of some sort of dove-turtle monster hybrid. I'm pleased to see I had it wrong.
So cool how you portrayed these animals! And no, you just can't rush a good turtle, or two for that matter.
i have to echo arch, the turtle doves of my childhood were vaguely disturbing chimeras. also, i want to thank you for introducing me to senryu.
Wonderful![:-)
Duh...I missed this! I love it. I'm looking forward to the entire song :)I really do enjoy your smartly warped sense of humor.
i like those tiny tiaras on the turtle heads-made them look special.
What a RIOT! How fun and creative--and good!Mary, IMAGIK
