Is that why we are told to put our drier lint out for the birds? I always thought it was for the nests, but perhaps that's how they make babies. Little fiber artists.

awwwww! adorable!

i spent part of one summer banding piping plovers. the chicks were described to me as cotton balls on toothpicks which, as it turns out, is pretty darn close.
