Love the concept and creative image to go with it! Agree would rather have found hearts, minds, jobs, souls (the saddest), keys (the most often along with earrings), and did find more than one Husband :) Great sculpture/mobile image - can see whispy lost lines taking things away :)

It makes me sad. And that's why it is a great piece.

anonymous - lol...i used to always be losing my keys, until my husband made me a little rosebowl for them, and said no matter what, when i came into the house, i was to put my keys there. it worked!

now if i could just figure out where i put my husband...

ag - thank you. i love the wind. i liken her to a mischeivious child. and i believe any destruction from her is random...kinda like fate, i guess.

ian - some loss is hard to accept. i try to remind myself that the lost item's imprint is still there, in my mind, to fill with whatever i choose.

thank you for you kind words.

There seems a wilfulness about these leaping away - that is one of the sad things about the lost - maybe they wanted to go...

Great look with the grey, black and red and the mobile beads being lost to the wind is a great take on the theme.

I very much enjoyed the story about the keys. We have a little set of hooks in the kitchen where I told my wife, "No matter what, when you come in the house, put your keys here!" It has NEVER workerd. Sorry this is so short, I have help find those darned keys before she borrows mine and loses them!!!

Sometimes the simplest image says the most...it makes me think of things that go wrong in an instant and are never made right again...either by one's own misstep or by some random force. I love the grey and red and the feeling of motion in the beads going their own way. This is really very cool!

This is an excellent interpretation and realization of the concept --Lost--

I love both the concept and the execution. Wish I'd thought of it!

My take is that we don't have a chance of being in control of anything but ourselves... and THAT is plenty challenge enough. I must go find the story about things lost. Nice image/prose combination.

Thank you all, for your comments. As a control-freak, the hardest thing for me to remember is that I can only control my own behavior when things don't go as I'd hoped.

I'm happiest when I accept things/events and people as they are. And sometimes that's nearly impossible, ey?

somewhere in the unseen foreground is me screaming and chasing after those beads... nice quote (so true, i should try to keep it in mind more often)... nice take on the topic.
