Sweet! Each post and sparrow as a note! Almost looks like a new written language - well done :)
It isn't only my heart that's warm ... MWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA. *salivating*
You have to tell what song this is! My singing sounds awful!
ya know...i almost put a cat in the picture...sorry, hellcat. maybe next week. you and juicy bird. anonymous: thank you. thank you.
While I was trying to make it look like notes on a bar, I wasn't thinking a specific tune. I don't remember how to read music. It's been 40 some years, I think. It probably reads like a gay tomcat lusting for Percy..
i love it!
No wonder my singing sounded awful };-} Pretending I didn't hear that ... sweet birds :)
Bravo! I am totally uninspired by the topic... so far.
sooo cute and charming!! Love it
the sparrows stands out very well with the colors you have used in the fence. beautiful actually.
Charming and unfussy. Would make a great greeting card.MD
Wonderful. I love the way your birds have taken up position and are singing their notes!
Hello odd neighbor. Found you through another artist. Beautiful work!! Especially love some of your archives.Would love to swap links with you if you are interested: williebaronet.blogspot.com
...one of my favorites. I love the little birds on the white fence. Beautiful!andrea
Cute picture, and I like the haiku. The songs of nature are the best!
Songbirds *with* flesh. Phew. I love how this has different planes of meaning. And graphically, it has punch. (ouch)
thank you, guys. i almost was gonna colour the sparrows...in crayon colours - i thought wow, wouldn't that punch out from the bleak background, but one of the things i like about sparrows is their total lack of pretension. Besides, tans on white can be quite beautiful, as anyone who's held a fleece jacket can tell you.I was shocked when I got to IF. The day wasn't over yet, and there were already 200 entries!
it's great with these colours!
Elegant. I can say no more......and then, I read anonymous' post.I didn't see the sheet music at first.Very cute. And elegant :)MjM
It's so refreshing to see your work!!! with a lot of personnality ... a real asset in this virtaul world! more...more. and thank you for your comment on my blog!

Beautiful music-just wish i knew the song . I don't know how you came up with this idea-so appealing and clever.
Muito legal esses passarinhos, bem bolado!!!
i like your illy! :)
The sparrow is without question the most cosmic of all birds. Easy to make friends with and so very clever. You did them a great homage with this illustration, Cat.
this definately made me smile.thank you for the comment.
so simple and lovely that it is elegant! I love it!!!
I love the chorus of birds all lined up! This is perfect - I'm glad you didn't put a cat in, though:>
Very very sweet!
Oooooooooo, wow, this is great. So wonderful.Must feed the birds. Watch out...wicked Hellcat!just greatSmooches,The Tart

Their Slave was in the Gong Show!?!
She didn't last long...
this is so adorable!!
truly a visual delight!
Nice nice nice...
The swap is complete. :-)
Cat, this purrfect.Really well done. The fence itself caught my attention; shadows, shading and angles but then that kind of stuff always interests me. The snowy scene also seems to communicate that muffled or filtered sound that snow seems to cause. Your absolutely right on the color of the birds too. Thanks.Seeya. - Skee
i thought sparrows were scarry.. but these look pretty.. even when they're plenty.. hihi ^_^
what a lovely illo..btw, those birds kinda remind me of that cartoon from Pixar.. where they are all in the electric line and .. forgot what happened but i remember that was funny.. lol
This is just great. No cats allowed. I am sure my Miss S would be up to no good.Great work. Love all the sweet happy alive birds.
I'm glad you decided against colouring the birds, too....it's perfect as is!
Really enjoyed your illo - rather like piano keys; aren't they? :-)
Very creative i like it alot.
That's so cute- a sparrow organ! Just a little puff of air up their feathers gets them to sing!
I wanna sing with themm...they are so sweet!
Very cool and musical/lyrical. These songbirds look like they provide really melodic harmonies... not like the obnoxiously loud magpie or mockingbird that serenades our house at 3 a.m. on summer mornings.Wonderful illustration.
Very nice. I really love the idea and story it tells!Thank you so much for your kind comment on my blog. I'll be back on yours!
I used to have little brown birds that looked like those ones! they were so cute and i the one sang her little heart out every day... i was so upset when they finally died... snif.... lovely ilio
I see. Not napping. Pretty busy. A cat myself. Like your little sparrows… They’ll nevev sing, though, unless directed properly. Well done.
This is so sweet. Perhaps they are calling in spring.
Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!
Oh! this is so cute! All sparrows in a row and SING!
Excellent! Simple and perfect! No-one owns song like the birds.
La la la la la la lahhhhhGone.
very successful reppitition!
your sparrows are just perfect :)thanks for visiting my blog.
You've managed a minor coup with this inspirational piece. Love everything, but mostly the way it tugs at my heart.
